GOLFING ON THE MORNINGTON PENINSULA
As you are aware, COVID-19 or the Coronavirus as it is more commonly known has created global health concerns regarding the disease and its infection rates.
We have received an update from Golf Australia that clarifies the
Governments Stage 2 implementations and unfortunately it means that all Golf courses on the Mornington Peninsula must close their golf course and facilities until at least April 13th
2020 effective immediately.
While this is disappointing news, we support Golf Australia and the
Australian Governments decision in their efforts to minimize the spread of
COVID-19 and more importantly to look after each other.
The clarification states that "based on the Victorian Department of Health
and Human Services directive issued as part of the Victorian Governments Stage
2 restrictions regarding COVID-19, all golf clubs and facilities should close
as soon as practicable until April 13, 2020.
This is under the current directive, which per Golf Australia and the
Australian and Victorian Governments may change at any given moment. An update
will be provided should further changes be made.
Please be safe, look after each other, stay home where possible and we look
forward to this settling down and getting back to the sport we all love.
The Mornington Peninsula is an easy 60 minute drive from Melbourne. This rugged coastal area provides perfect links conditions as well as traditional tree lined classics providing exceptional golfing experiences.
